The Market Has Two Sides

🏡 Thinking about making a move before the end of the year? Don’t judge the market from just one side.

I’ve had a lot of conversations lately with homeowners trying to figure out what to do next.

And I keep hearing the same questions:

“I have too much going on.”

“I don’t know where to start.”

“What if I sell and can’t find the right home?”

“Should I just wait until next year?”

Here’s how I’m looking at it:

Yes, selling can be more challenging right now.

There’s more competition. Buyers have more choices. And homes often need stronger pricing, presentation, and marketing to get attention.

But here’s the part that can get overlooked:

The same market that makes selling harder can make buying easier.

Fresh listings have recently reached their highest level in four years, according to Redfin.

That means if you're selling and buying, you need to evaluate both sides of the move.

You may not get quite as much on the sale as you hoped.

But you could have more choices, more negotiating room, and a better chance of finding a home that actually fits your needs.

As a local realtor serving San Ramon, Danville, and the Greater Bay Area, I don't think the right question is simply:

“Is this a good market or a bad market?”

The better question is:

“Does this market work for YOUR move?”

Your timing, equity, budget, next home, and goals all matter.

📩 If you're considering a move before the end of the year—or even sometime next year, send me a message. I’d be happy to walk through both sides of the move with you and help you understand your options.

No pressure. Just a clearer plan. 🏡
